1983 Hendrick Motorsports #5 Test Car / Chevrolet Monte Carlo NASCAR 1/24 diecast, by Action Lionel. By late 1983, Rick Hendrick had begun putting plans together to go racing in the 1984 NASCAR Cup Series season. Prior to launching that inaugural season, a white #5 City Chevrolet test car was shaken down at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the fall of 1983. This diecast car is part of the NASCAR Classics line by Lionel NASCAR Collectables.

1987 Rick Hendrick #25 Folgers / Chevrolet Monte Carlo NASCAR 1/24 diecast, by Action Lionel. This Hendrick Motorsports #25 Folgers Coffee Chevrolet Monte Carlo was raced by Rick Hendrick in the NASCAR Winston Cup, Western 500 at Riverside International Raceway on November 8, 1987. When Tim Richmond fell ill part-way through the 1987 season, it left a vacancy behind the wheel of the #25. Rather than keep his winning ride away from the track, Hendrick decided to don his helmet and strapped behind the wheel.
