Bobby Allison earned 84 victories in his illustrious career and was crowned the 1983 Premier Series champion. Known as a charter member of the "Alabama Gang", the longtime resident of Hueytown, Ala is cherished by fans around the country. Although his career was cut short by injuries he suffered in an accident in Pocono in 1988, Allison continues to be a great Ambassador for the sport. In addition to being the 1983 Champion, Allison also won the DAYTONA 500 on three occasions, with the last being his final career win in 1988, when he finished ahead of son Davey who finished second.
