This is the "Driver of the Year" special paint scheme of Ryan Newman's #12 (Alltel) Dodge Intrepid. In 2003 Ryan Newman was named the SPEED Channel’s Driver of the Year. In his sophomore season as a Nextel Cup Driver, Newman claimed 8 wins and 11 poles in 2003. The #12 "Driver of the Year" Alltel car celebrates Newman’s success with the SPEED Driver of the Year logo placed on the hood of the car. The characteristic black paint is swapped for a silver chrome look embellished with blue outlined sharp edges.
